You can safely say that car oriented films are a cornerstone of car culture. That might be the reason for the thousands of car oriented films ever made. A few of them are must-see-films.
Børning (2014, action comedy):
Following the same consept as "Cannonball run" (1981), "Børning" follows an illegal race through Norway. The sequels are worth a watch too.

In this film, we follow a star-filled cast in a race from sea to shining sea in USA. Look out for Burt Reynolds mustashe!
Cars (2006):
A modern classic. This animated film follows the car Lightning McQueen during his debut season in Piston cup. The sequels are worth a watch too.
Convoy (1975, drama):
Kris Kristofferson is leading a convoy of truckers trying to make a revolution. The film is based on the song with the same name.
Death race (2008, action):
A dystopian racing film based on the 1975 film Death race 2000.
Death race 2000 (1975, satire):
A satirical film about a dystopian race through USA. A cult-classic in the exploitation film genre.
Drive (2011, drama):
"The Driver" works as a mechanic, stunt double, and criminal-for-hire getaway driver. He grows close to his new neighbor, but their relationship is interrupted when the neighbors husband is released from prison.
Duel (1971, thriller):
Steven Spielbergs debut film where a semi-truck is terrorizing David Mann on his business trip.
Dukes of Hazzard (2005, comedy):
An underrated film based on the TV series with the same name. The Dukes are trying to save Hazzard County.
Dumb and dumber (1994, comedy):
The rather dumb - but funny - characters of Jim Carrey and Jeff Daniels takes a roadtrip to Aspen.
Easy rider (1969, drama):
Peter Fonda and Dennis Hopper are two bikers on their roadtrip to New Orleans. A legendary cult-classic.
Gone in 60 seconds (1974, action):
Gone in 60 seconds is the cult-classic that is defined as the worlds longest car chase on film.
Gone in 60 seconds (2000, action):
A remake of the 1974 car film. Nicolas Cage steals 50 cars in a few hours to save his brother.
Herbie franchise (1968-2005, comedy):
A film series following the adventuers of the Beetle named Herbie:

Le Mans (1971, drama):
Steve McQueens epic film about the Le Mans race.
Le Mans '66: Ford v. Ferrari (2019, drama):
As the title indicates, this film follow Fords attempts to beat Ferrari at Le Mans.
Mad Max (1979, action):
This film can be described as a dystopian road rage with Mel Gibson.
Mad Max 2: Road warrior (1981, action):
As its' predecessor, this film can also be described as a dystopian road rage.
Need for speed (2014, action):
Here, we follow Tobey Marshall on his way to the illegal race DeLeon.
Smokey and the bandit (1977, comedy):
Burt Reynolds in the role as The Bandit in his infamous Trans-Am. The Bandit is transporting illegal beer across the border.
Vanishing point (1971, action):
Existential film about Kowalskis roadtrip from Denver towards San Francisco
I COULD add the Fast and furious franchise to this list, but despite its popularity, I see no other reason to reccomend the films other than their pop-cultural status.
