Traveling tips
Classic races
Some genres and series

If you want to explore the world of motorsports, but you don't know where to start, you might start with the most famous annual racers (List beneath).

Do a bit of research on your own. Explore.

Many races are streamed on the internet. IMSA, YouTube, Radio Le Mans and the official sites of chosen series are good places to start.

You dont need to instantly know everything or have a favorite driver or team. That will come by time.

If you have Youtube, streaming services or linear TV channels that gives you the possibilities to watch motorsports - even if it's not showing the entire race, like Eurosport does - use it as an introduction.

Traveling tips

Here are a few tips for traveling to motorsport events. Thanks to F1Celina for tips and inspiration.

Arrive early and leave early or very late to avoid congestion. Arriving early makes it easier to find good places to stay by the track.

Smaller racing series are more affordable and give a better opportunities when it comes to accessibility of paddock and trackwalk. There are often more engagement between drivers and fans.

Seek out tracks close to your area, check out their calendar. Find a race or race series that might interest you. Show up to the race and just enjoy the action.

When buying tickets, do some research how your view might be, especially if you go for general admission. Some parts of the track may be more action-filled than other parts. Some tracks also have jumbo-screens that shows live feed from other parts of the track.

Especially when it comes to larger racing events, your ticket may or may not give you access to entertainment like concerts, other races, track walk and a walk on pitlane. Beware of long breaks between sessions in case there are no entertainment.

Check your possibilities of transport around the track and between your accommodation and the track. There may be shuttle buses available.

Be aware of what kind of weather you might get and prepare for it. Choose good shoes! Bring sunscreen and protection like a hat, an umbrella or a towel. Remember extra socks and underwear.

Traveling alone is OK; then you control your own schedule. But traveling alone or not; be social and meet new people. You'll become a part of the motorsports family.

Travel light. You don't want to drag on unnecessary weight. A lightweight camping chair may be worth to carry.

Remember to protect your hearing. Bring hearing protection - at least for the sake if you need it!
